Juliana's First Royal's Game

Since Joaquin has been born Ryan and I have not had any one on one time with our little girl. Sunday was build-a-bear day at the "K"and the first 10,000 kids got a stuffed lion "Slugger". Since she had never been to a baseball game before we thought this would be a fun one to go to. We couldn't wait to take her.

We found our seats and Juliana took a look at the players warming up and said, "I see the basketball players." I guess Ryan isn't doing a very good job of teaching his princess about sports. So here he is trying to explain the game to her.

Since the game was at 1:00 we hadn't eaten yet so we started with nachos and then no trip to the ballpark would be complete without.......

Mmmmmm......COTTON CANDY!!! My favorite and it looks like Juliana's too!

She did a great job of actually watching the game. A lot better than I thought. She made it all the way to the 5th inning before this happened....

We woke her up after the 7th inning since we promised her a merry-go-round ride.

Here she is with Daddy after the Royals won! The three of us had a great time!

Two Years & Two Months

Juliana already two years and Joaquin 2 months and with the numerous request for updates and photos I have decided to create a blog! ***Thanks Andrea*** ;)

So here goes my first post....

Juliana is our first born and daddy's little princess (seriously if you ask her what daddy calls her she says "princess"). She is very talkative these days and has a comment for everything. Here is an example:

Juliana: Mommy listen to my whistle!
Mommy: No honey not right now Mommy's head hurts.
Juliana: Who cares!
Mommy: That's not nice!
Juliana: You want me to say sorry?

I just walked away to avoid cracking up!

Here is a picture of Juliana. Her hair is getting so long. I think it is time for her first ever trim!

Joaquin our son is just as vocal as Juliana just not with words but crying. He seems to like things a certain way. I commend him for knowing what he wants and what he doesn't want. Ryan thinks he is temperamental. Joaquin seem to be growing so fast. Now for those of you who don't know Joaquin was not a small boy, 9 lbs. 12 oz. and NO I did not have a C-section. He weighed at birth what Juliana weighed at one month. He is two months old now and he is wearing 6 month clothes and size 3 diapers.

Life with two has been an adjustment for all of us. I guess I didn't realize just how difficult it would be to divide my attention among two! Juliana has done great though I truly believe she loves beeing a big sister. She is so motherly constantly wanting to hug and kiss him. JuJu even talks to him when he is being fussy it is the cutest thing. She says: "It's okay little guy, Juliana's here. I know, it will be okay!" It makes my heart melt!

It has been so exciting to start the baby milestones all over again...minus the sleepless nights of course! Joaquin has been showing off his gum filled grin for weeks now and he has started laughing. These are the moments that make what feels like nonstop crying so worth it!!!

Here is a picture of him trying out the Bumbo today!!!

Today was Joaquin's 2 month check up and he has to get his first shots. Here is how it went...

***********************************************

OUCH!!! SHOTS!!!

Joaquin had his 2 month check up this afternoon and the doctor said he looks great! He weighed in at 15 lbs. 3 oz. and is 24 1/2 inches long. He is in the 97% for weight and the 93% for height He was very calm and happy at first.....

He really liked looking at himself in the mirror!

After the shots he looked like this...

Not for long though. He took his pacifier and passed out before we even made it to the parking lot!
